This
magnificent bed and breakfast was built specifically with your comfort
in mind. Each of the guest suites have a private bath. Come relax
and enjoy all the special features that set this B&B aside from
all the others you have ever experienced. Beautifully decorated
with maple and walnut flooring, cozy leather furnishings, lots of
sunlight and soft and bold greens throughout. The exterior is sided
in green slate that resembles native Alaskan jade. A second story
balcony featuring the same warm rich hardwoods overlooks the living
room. |

Your hosts, Yves (pronounced Eve) and Dee Memoune, offer gracious hospitality, wonderful gourmet breakfasts and superior comfort. Yves speaks fluent French, Hebrew, and English as well as a little Spanish and Japanese. Dee has operated the bed and breakfast for seventeen years and has hosted thousands of satisfied guests. Dee & Yves are both world travelers who love to cook and entertain. You'll never know which one of them will be in their beautiful kitchen preparing a bountiful hot Alaskan style breakfast especially for you. You'll awake each morning to the aroma of gourmet French roast coffee and special home baked goodies from the oven. House of Jade is located on a quiet dead-end street offering mountain views and beautiful sunsets.

Guests
are welcome to enjoy coffee in the kitchen while your hosts put
the final touches on a breakfast that all the guests rave about.
The House of Jade is centrally located. Some
local points of interest within minutes of the House of Jade are:
The Museum of Natural History and Fine Art; three Hospitals; the
University of Alaska Anchorage; and, the Alaska Native Heritage
Center where you can personally meet Alaskan artisans. The rustic
but quaint Alaska Zoo is less than 10 minutes from the House of
Jade. |

dining, shopping, hiking trails and sightseeing is at your fingertips.
The Saturday Market in downtown Anchorage is a must see! You can
purchase fresh local produce, fresh caught fish, arts and crafts,
antiques plus many made in Alaska products. Anchorage is
a destination stop with many popular day trips available. Options
include salmon fishing, river rafting, flightseeing, the Alaska
Sea Life Center or the magnificent Kenai Fjords and beautiful
Prince William Sound Glacier cruises. Don't hesitate to ask your
hosts about all the local day trip activities. |

Breakfast
is served between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. However, exceptions can be
prearranged if necessary. In the event guests check out prior to
7:30 a.m., a continental breakfast will be available upon request.
Beverages are available 24 hours. The B&B is a non-smoking facility.
You are welcome to smoke outdoors on the porch or deck. Laundry
is available with prior arrangement. Check in is after 3:00 p.m.
Check out is noon. You need not worry about pet allergies since
there are no pets in residence. |
Alaska House of Jade is a proud member of the Anchorage Alaska Bed and Breakfast Association's "Going Green" program. As a certified member of this program we are committed to the following policies:
- House of Jade recycles aluminum cans, plastics, glass, paper, and cardboard as accepted by the Municipal recycle program.
- House of Jade has a marked receptacle available for guest participation in the recycling program.
- Water and energy conservation - House of Jade encourages guests to use bath and bed linens for multiple days.
- House of Jade donates short-end supplies and out of service linens, furniture, etc. for use within the community.
